Since the popularity of MySpace is growing and more and more of my friends are using it, I thought I would post how to add a large custom playlist and player (thanks to Webjay) to your page (or any other website you may want it on). You can see an example on my MySpace page. Ok, here we go:
Step 1: Make a webpage or create a MySpace account.
Step 2: Sign up for an account over at Webjay.org.
Step 3: Create a blank playlist on Webjay. Name it something clever.
Step 4: Find songs to add to your playlist by stealing them from other people’s playlists on Webjay. A good place to start is the main page with all the popular playlists or you could view my playlists: http://webjay.org/by/sean_w_mcgrath. Once you find songs you like just use the copy feature (either click the copy button after a song, or use the check boxes to select mutliple songs and then click the “copy selected” button).
Step 5: Once you are done adding songs to your playlist and are viewing the page for that playlist….click the “Myspace” button. Now there is the code you need to add it your page. You can remove some of this code, so you just have the player. I removed the lines that look like this:

Step 6: Copy the code and post it in any section of the “Edit Profile” page on Myspace.

Webjay has come along way since I last looked at it. In my opinion it still has a long way to go though.

A thing I like about what you did here is that your customizing the HTML shows that advanced users have a method for improving on the default, which is important.
FWIW, though, it would be more polite to leave the “via webjay” link.

I would certainly leave the webjay link, but track #2 on the playlist already mentions webjay. If I had the option I would get rid of track #2 and use the html link (cause i think it looks prettier and I can customize it).
Most people will be too lazy to delete the link anyway I think
Y’know, I get a lot of comments about that track #2 thing… I guess there’s something about an audio insert that’s really intrusive.
thats really a sweet setup but I agree if anyone can figure out how to take track two out would put this playlist over the top.
Anyone know how to get these playlists to work on a group page?
What about videos? Is it possible to add a playlist of videos to your page?

Hey. Now is there anyway to import a playlist from your computer into this code. If I open a playlist with notepad and copy the code is there any place to insert it in the original code.
